I’m Starting a Blog…

Yup, Carrie got to me.

I read Dolly Alderton’s Everything I Know About Love the week I turned 19. If you haven’t heard of it, I really recommend checking it out—it’s this whimsical, funny, and occasionally heartbreaking book about navigating life in your twenties. At the time, it made me feel like maybe I wasn’t alone in the mess of figuring things out. I didn’t know then that it would be the thing that finally pushed me to stop sitting in my rut.

So here I am, doing something that feels both intimidating and exciting: starting a blog. A little bit of fashion, a little bit of my life, and advice I am probably not qualified to hand out.

Once you’ve told a stranger something, you can’t really take it back. Kinda like the internet, right? But I’m choosing to see this as my little safe space, my corner of the web where I can ramble about the things that make me tick. I’m not sure what I’m doing exactly, and honestly, I don’t consider myself any kind of great writer. Maybe this is something that gets better with practice? Should I be wearing special writing socks while I do this? I don’t know, but I think it could be fun.

So, expect it to be casual. And, yeah, more often than not, personal. I’m going to keep this first post short and sweet—no need to overthink it.
